About Us

JMC Resources is the creation of John McCaskill who have been managing successful businesses in event management and recruitment for the architectural, building products and Plumbing/Hardware/ Electrical market sectors for the past twenty years. Joining forces after John’s sale of Winners Recruitment three years ago, he has identified many similarities in the business requirements of architectural practices and smaller independent Hardware stores. Some of those obvious similarities and needs are as follows:

  • Architects often find they have never got enough staff when they are busy and have too many staff overheads when projects are completed.
  • Smaller hardware operators often work very long hours and cannot remember when they last enjoyed a holiday together or were able to take time away from the business to spend time with family, travel, go to a conference or just have the luxury of time for themselves and a lifestyle balance.
  • Health, staff issues and other considerations can sometimes also create the need for assistance in some cases as normal facts of life.
  • Many have told us their businesses and lives could be so much more enjoyable and less stressful if they could achieve that balance with someone they trust who can assist in their businesses on a part time, regular casual or contract basis.
  • On the other hand, many employees these days are also trying to create more flexible and balanced lifestyles by working part time, permanent casual or more than one job, this could include young people juggling studies or family duties with work or maybe more experienced and knowledgable senior people looking to maintain a sense of purpose with other interests.

Recent changes in the retail hardware landscape have brought these developments into focus and we believe there will be much greater demand for qualified professionals with knowledge and appropriate experience to work on a casual or permanent part time basis which would enable the desired lifestyle balance for both parties.

JMC Resources has been formed to cater for employers and employees wanting to achieve that balanced lifestyle with sufficient income to have a better quality of life. This website is our platform for these interested parties to connect and be suitably prequalified by JMC in their particular field of interest and skillset. Our commitment and legal obligation to our prospective employer database is that all staff will be carefully prequalified, personally interviewed and reference checked, and given any special training through a handover period or specialized information and hands on training by external providers. Many on our database will of course already be known and trusted by us during twenty years within the industry.
